Come Enjoy Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas!
Do you want a backpacking experience to remember?
Eagle Rock Loop is waiting….
Eagle Rock Loop is in Langley, Arkansas. It’s an amazing trail that has all the best of the Ouachita National Forrest. The peak elevation is 3,996 feet. It is a shady trail and a combination of the Little Missouri Trail, Athens-Big Fork Trail, and Viles Branch Horse Trail. The trail is 26.5 miles long, the longest backpacking loop in Arkansas. Some hikers take three days to complete the hike. If you like to take in the scenery and enjoy the Natural State, don’t rush the hike and plan on spending three nights completing the loop.
It is considered a challenging hike. If you want to complete the hardest part at the beginning of the hike, consider starting at the Athens Big Fork Trail and completing the “peaks” first. Camp on the top of hill #6 if you want to watch the sunrise.
The hiking trail is open year-round and there are multiple access points. You can hike it either clockwise or counterclockwise. One of the benefits of this hike is there are many creeks and water is available for the majority of the hike. Because of the great water access, it makes for great camping. There are many campsites available along the way.
The trails are very well-marked but there are challenging climbs. There is a variety of terrain to enjoy.

Brooke Allison, Arkansas Awaits
We are the Allison Family.
We have always lived in Arkansas and love our Natural State and its beauty. We started in the vacation rental space in 2020 and our love for sharing our homes with others has only grown. Jason was previously a poultry farmer, but in January of 2022, we sold our farm. Now, we spend most of our days together working on vacation rentals for families to come enjoy. When planning out our vacation homes, we want your time with those you love to be one to remember, not just a place to sleep. We are thrilled to share our homes with you and make your experience one to be remembered!
